Last weekend, I passed through the electronics section in Belk.
Two kids, perhaps age 6 and 9, found a large box, retro-looking record player that recorded CDs.
I watched as they examined it like a toy, and overheard an interesting conversation.
“What is this thing?” said the boy, turning the knobs.
The girl, lifting the lid said, “It’ a music player.”
“Wow. How does it play music?”
“You put a big CD here. Then you lift this thing up, put it on the CD, and it plays music.” She lifted the arm, placed it on the rubber surface and turned it.
“This looks really strange.”
“It is. You have to be really old to play it.”
I'd love to hear from you. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a great day.
