When Scott goes on business trips, he tries to bring me back something:
a little souvenir, a t-shirt, a coffee mug with a unique saying, or sometimes jewelry.
I always get something, and like the old saying goes, it’s the thought that counts.
After coming back from a Vegas trip, Scott and I went to my sister, Joanne’s house one evening.
“How long was Scott gone this time?” she asked.
“Five days,” I said.
“Scott, did you bring her back anything?”
“I went into this really expensive mall that had all the designer stores like Gucci and Prada.
I went into Bulgari and looked at a key chain purse but it was over $200. Then I looked at a really, nice purse, but it was over $400. Everything was so expensive, but I didn’t buy anything,” he said.
Joanne continued, “So you didn’t bring Helen back anything?”
“He brought me back a swing kit and 3 shower caps,” I said.
“You mean he got those from the hotel.”
“Yea, but she likes those,” said Scott.
Joanne went into a fit of laughter.
“A $400 Bulgari purse would have been better,” I said.
What kinds of souvenirs do you get? I'd love to hear about them, so email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a great day.
